I’ve been wanting to get together with you as well. After I wrote this post, I heard from Reed, who asked whether I was going to Homecoming North next February, or whether I could play in the (Gene) Seymour Open on July 18.

Homecoming North sounds good, depending on what else is happening that evening. I received clearance from the tower (Kim) to consider going to Charleston for the Seymour Open. I just hope that people remember to stay behind me when I tee off.

I also heard from Dru Sefton, who is married to Andy Savoie.

She said that Andy said to thank me for the green (army) coat. “The green coat would be, well, the notorious green coat. Huge and notorious. And brown, if you ask me. But then again perhaps it just turned brown after Andy wore it a few decades.”

I wrote back to Dru and told her to tell Andy that I want the coat back. Of course that isn’t true–I gave him that coat over 20 years ago because it was time to pass it on to someone who would have an entirely new set of adventures while wearing it.

Isn’t that kind of the plot of that book and chick flick, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?” Once again, we were well ahead of our times, and missed out on a fortune because we didn’t write it down!
